SCHOOL & NURSERIES – Artificial Grass Installations across the West Midlands
Over the past 12 months we have seen a large increase in the requirements for schools and nurseries across the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire in installing artificial grass to their playgrounds and sports areas.
Artificial grass or as some call it Astro Turf when used for children’s play areas in schools and nurseries can bring a wide range of benefits, the most significant being safety and year round usage.
Surfaces like tarmac and woodchip, which are commonly used for children’s play areas and sports grounds, can often be both unsafe and impractical for use. Similarly, natural grass quickly becomes muddy or slippery when wet, leading to an increased risk of accidents. The importance of creating a safe and secure space for children’s play areas is vital to enable them to have year round access to an external play area. That’s why artificial grass for playgrounds has become such a popular feature amongst schools and other community facilities across the West Midlands.
